Business travel by motor vehicle is a high cost area where effective management makes a very positive difference.  Research indicates that the cost efficiency of a well-run fleet can be up to 15% better than in an unmanaged/ uncontrolled fleet situation.

The main objective of a fleet manager - irrespective of the actual title - must be to run the fleet of vehicles cost-effectively, safely, and in line with the needs of the business. This may not seem very daunting, but if you look closer, it’s much more complex.
